Hello, my name is Austin Bohlin, and I am excited at the prospect of serving District 6 on West Lafayette’s City Council. As a student at Purdue, I am sure that my tireless dedication and intimate knowledge of Purdue will compliment my mission to build ties between our campus and West Lafayette. There already exists a shared passion and excitement for this city, and I believe that my dedication can transform that passion into impactful policy.
As an Engineering Student, my focus has been in increasing efficiency within systems, and I plan on bringing that efficiency focused mindset to local government. This great city deserves effective and organized policy-making aimed at improving our community and the quality of life for our Boilermakers. During my time in office, I want to target an issue that affects a large majority of our students: rental agreements. Policies around this subject have been limited and open the door for bad actors that can negatively impact the lives of my fellow students.
I am incredibly excited to share my passion for Purdue and this community with you all as I campaign in these coming months. Together, let’s bring service back into civil servant roles. If you have issues you want to be addressed or have questions for me personally, email me at Austin@VoteBohlin.com or call/text me at (765) 421-6526
